A man is able to get clean water near his home because of trained local mechanics who maintain the community well.

The Adventure Project is committed to ensuring that such sustainable clean water access is available to even more people in rural India.

Attention Tumblr friends: We need your Tumblr.

If you have an awesome Tumblr or blog and want to make a really big impact in a really simple way, you need to read the rest of this post.

World Water Day is in less than 9 days. On March 22nd, a global network of bloggers are joining together for 24 hours to raise a lot of noise around the need for clean water — but not just clean water; sustainable access of clean water.

We’re going to make a ruckus and raise funds to provide rural communities in India with this kind of access. For every dollar raised through our movement, The Prem Rawat Foundation will match it, up to $25,000. We have the potential to help hire nearly 90 mechanics who will go on to serve over 450,000 people with sustainable water services.

Interested in joining the movement? Here’s what you can do:

For us to raise $25,000 in 24 hours, we’re enlisting 250 people to reach out to their circles through blog posts, tweets, Facebook statuses, pins, and any other creative online ways to tell them about World Water Day. If each person can raise $100 on March 22nd, we’ll raise $50,000 in a single day.

90 mechanics. 450 wells. Over 450,000 people. Amazing, right?

Join us today by signing up (takes one minute, we promise). Our interns will customize a page just for you (they’re fantastic like that) and will email you all the details. And you don’t need to be a blogger to join, you just have to be willing and ready to spread the word and join our adventure on March 22nd.

Tragically, 1/3 of all wells drilled in India in the last 20 years are broken. Learn how The Adventure Project is working to ensure sustainable access to clean water at www.theadventureproject.org.
