Last Saturday we announced the winner of our win a trip to Haiti. In case you missed it, here’s our big reveal!

December 20th, 2012

We met Delva in one of the largest tent camps in Haiti. He had a new charcoal efficient stove and was making a breakfast of beans and rice for his two kids. The stove saves him 20% of this expenses that would normally go to buying charcoal. He can use that extra money for food.

You can sponsor a stove for a family in Haiti for $20. Visit here to donate, or buy a gift card and donate in someones honor (today’s the last day to order a card to arrive by XMAS). Each stove comes with a ID, so you know when it was built and where it went. Pretty much the best gift, ever (if we do say so ourselves)…

Stoves For Haiti - We did it! Thanks, everyone!

We just want to say thank you so much to our supporters in the #StovesForHaiti campaign, which was launched on January 12th to remember Haiti.

We officially ended the campaign this past week (even though donations are still rolling in!), and are excited to say that on our last day, January 31st, we broke our $20,000 goal!

Many, many thanks to all of you who spread the word, raised funds, and sponsored a stove yourself. We could not have done it without your efforts. Thank you for supporting The Adventure Project, and even more thanks for bringing over 1,000 families these revolutionary cookstoves.

And if you’re still interested in giving or having your community give, feel free to do so through the campaign page or through our website at TheAdventureProject.org.

Tomorrow is the last day of the Stoves For Haiti campaign in remembrance of the earthquake in Haiti two years ago and the half a million people still living in tents. We’re less than $2,500 from our goal of providing 1,000 families with cleaner air, better health, and increased income.

Charcoal-efficient stoves are helping mothers provide safer homes for their children while also providing families with increased disposable incomes. With the money saved from the cost-efficient and fuel-efficient stove, mothers can send their children to school, start small businesses, or purchase more nutritious foods.

Remembering Haiti: 2 years. 2 friends. 2 stoves.

Today is the two-year anniversary of the earthquake in Haiti, and we want to turn it into a day of record-breaking impact.

It’s a simple idea. We are each finding 2 friends. Two friends who will recognize the anniversary by sponsoring a $20 charcoal-efficient stove for a family in Haiti. And the movement begins when those two friends reach out to their 2 friends.

These stoves are revolutionary. By sponsoring one, you’ll be helping a family to breathe easier, cook faster, and increase their income by saving on fuel costs. The money saved is money used to send their kids to school, start small businesses, and eat more nutritious food. The stoves are produced locally in Port au Prince and sold by women entrepreneurs. It’s a sustainable business model providing a life-saving product.

So we are marking this anniversary with a ripple movement of friends.

2 years, 2 friends, 2 stoves.

Buy your stove. Join our movement. And find your two friends.
