Tell us about you in 140 characters…
This year my husband and I will have been married for 37 years. We have 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and live in a 117 year old house.
Why did you decide to join The Tribe?
We lived in Asia for 3 and a half years 22 years ago. Our family saw how living in the US can be from the rest of the world. I know how easy it is to become blind to what is happening in the rest of the world. I don’t want to become blind; I want to be reminded that the blessings I have are not the norm for many. I love the fact that my small contribution can give someone an opportunity to change their life.
What’s a favorite book you couldn’t put down: The Help and Unbroken.
What’s your favorite piece of advice someone gave you:
Anger is a choice.
What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done: Our family took a vacation where we drove all over Malaysia; from the mountains to the beaches and the big cities. Our last stop was an island off the coast called Timan Island. The four of us where the only passengers on the plane and the runway on the island was a dirt strip.
What are you most passionate about:
Relationships - I cherish the people God brings into my life. The relationships I have with them are the most valued things in my life.
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would rather have people come visit me. I love to have company over.
