We’d like to introduce you to Ashley Nielsen, today’s featured member of our Well Mechanics Club.

What did she do?
Ashley was the lead organizer for a benefit concert in Olympia, WA, which featured a local bands in a favorite local venue. The proceeds of the concert went to The Adventure Project and our water initiative, helping to hire and train local leaders to become well mechanics and provide clean water for thousands of people throughout India.

What were the results?
A lot of happy music lovers, and enough tickets sold to help fund 3 well mechanics in India ($1,600)! That equates to consistently flowing clean water for approximately 15,000 people.

Why do we love this fundraiser idea?
Ashley tapped into her local community, engaging them with what’s familiar — a local band that everyone loves at a local venue that everyone frequents. At The Adventure Project, we’re all about local engagement to solve global issues, whether it’s on the ground in rural India training community leaders or activating our next door neighbors to strum guitars and raise funds.

Huge thanks to Ashley and everyone involved with the benefit concert in Olympia, WA!
